Basic Eligibility Requirements
These are the fundamental requirements that all applicants must meet:

Residency Requirement

Must be a resident of your state for at least 30 days with valid proof of residency.

Income Eligibility

Household income must be at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level.

Valid Identification

Must provide government-issued photo identification (driver's license, state ID, or passport).

Asset Limits

Total countable assets must be below $2,500 (excluding primary residence and one vehicle).

Asset Requirements
Your total countable assets must be below $2,500 to qualify for assistance.

Countable Assets (Must be under $2,500)

Total value must not exceed $2,500

  • Cash and checking/savings accounts
  • Stocks, bonds, and investments
  • Certificates of deposit
  • Money market accounts
  • Second vehicles (beyond primary)
  • Recreational vehicles
  • Real estate (other than primary residence)

Excluded Assets (Not Counted)

These assets do not count toward the $2,500 limit:

  • Primary residence and property
  • One vehicle per household
  • Household goods and personal belongings
  • Life insurance policies
  • Retirement accounts (401k, IRA)
  • Burial plots and funeral funds
  • Tools and equipment needed for work
Required Documentation
You must provide the following documents to complete your application:

Identity & Residency

  • Birth certificate (if applying for dependents)

  • Pay stubs from last 4 weeks (all household members)

Asset Documentation

  • Bank statements from last 3 months (all accounts)
